About Us

Upstart Art has participated in the Nampa Farmer's Market, Boise Farmer's Market , Eagle Farmer's Market and Edward's Greenhouse Market. We have become known for being a valuable member of most of the McCall area art shows and the Boise area art shows.

Jean has been a member of the International Guild of Glass Artists and is currently the Vice President of the Treasure Valley Artists' Alliance. She was featured in the January 2010 issue of Meridian Living.

Company history

Upstart Art was started in 2006 as a way to take Jean's glass art to the public. We originally went to Farmer's Markets but were asked to participate in various shows. Once we started selling and displaying our art glass at the shows we then had people asking if it was difficult to work in glass fusion and so Jean started offering Project Classes in her studio.

Upstart Art has a history of donating art for non-profits and working with schools. Children as young as 5 have been taught how to make glass art that they can sell at their school functions.
